Titles we didn’t use

There was one corking suggestion (h/t John)- “Eternal Sunshine”, playing on the 2004 film, where in order to stay happy now people pay good money to have old unhappy memories removed.

As Wikipedia sez; the title is taken from the poem Eloisa to Abelard by Alexander Pope, the story of a tragic love affair, where forgetfulness became the heroine’s only comfort:

How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d;

Here are the other titles -none of them much cop.

Roads not taken
Paths not taken
the Road to Hell
With good intentions
Road Signs
Signs of the Times
Morbid symptoms
Times Past
Missed Opportunities
Past It
Whats done is done
Now it seems they’re here to stay
What happened then
How we got here
Knocking incessant
Certain pasts
